From link in bio to real enquiries: a practical checklist
Seven changes that make a one-page presence work harder for a small business.
By Ontu Team
A page that gets visits but no messages usually has one of a few fixable problems. Here's a checklist to work through. It applies whether you use Ontu or anything else.
1. Say what you do in the first line. Your headline should name the service and who it's for: "Wedding photographer in Pune" beats "Capturing moments".
2. Put one primary action first. Decide the single thing you most want visitors to do, whether that's message on WhatsApp, book a call or request a quote. Make it the first and most prominent button.
3. Show proof, honestly. A few real portfolio items or a short list of services with starting prices answers the questions people would otherwise have to ask.
4. Make contacting you effortless. A short form (name, email, message) on the page itself converts better than sending people elsewhere to find your email address.
5. Cut the clutter. Every extra link competes with your main action. Hide links you rarely need instead of deleting them.
6. Reply fast. Enquiries go cold quickly. Turn on notifications and give each lead a status so nothing slips.
7. Measure, then change one thing at a time. Watch views, clicks and enquiries for a couple of weeks before and after each change, so you know what actually helped.
