Terms of service

The rules for using Ontu — written to be readable. The short version: build honest pages, respect your visitors, and we'll look after the platform.

1.About these terms

These terms of service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Ontu (“Ontu”, “we”, “us”), the operator of the website ontu.in and the Ontu service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use Ontu on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these Terms.

[Registered company name, CIN and registered office address to be inserted before launch.]

2.Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password safe.
  • Tell us promptly at support@ontu.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We may refuse, suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk.

3.The Service

Ontu lets you build and publish web pages, collect enquiries from visitors, use AI-assisted writing and image tools, view analytics and, on some plans, connect a custom domain. Features available to you depend on your plan.

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.

4.Your content

You keep ownership of the text, images, links and other material you add to Ontu (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute Your Content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service — for example, to show your published page to visitors.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to use it. Your Content must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content or suspend pages that break it.

5.Enquiries and visitor data

When visitors submit enquiry forms on your page, you receive their details. For that information you act as the data fiduciary (or controller) and we process it on your behalf to provide the Service. You must use visitor data lawfully, only for the purpose the visitor expected, and respond to their requests about their data.

Do not use enquiry forms to collect passwords, payment card details, government identifiers or sensitive personal data.

6.AI features

AI tools generate suggestions using third-party AI providers. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to content generated for others. Review and edit outputs before you publish them; you are responsible for what you publish.

AI usage is limited by your plan's monthly credits or, for signed-out free tools, by daily limits. Do not submit personal or confidential information to AI tools.

7.Plans, payments and renewals

  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout. Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes as shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by our payment partners, Razorpay and Stripe. Their terms also apply to your payment. We do not store full card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We may change plan prices for future billing periods. We will give you notice before a price change affects your subscription.
  • Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

8.Usernames and custom domains

Usernames are allocated on a first-come basis and may not impersonate others or infringe trademarks. We may reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading or reserved for the Service. If you connect a custom domain, you are responsible for owning it and for its DNS settings.

9.Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, themes, templates and the Ontu name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use themes and templates to build pages on Ontu. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service except where the law allows.

10.Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or others.

After deletion, we delete or anonymise your data as described in our Privacy Policy, except where we must keep records (for example, payment records required by tax law).

11.Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee any particular business results, number of enquiries or revenue from using Ontu.

12.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13.Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from claims by third parties that relate to Your Content or your breach of these Terms.

14.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have, the courts at [city to be confirmed], India have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

15.Grievance officer

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it, you can contact our Grievance Officer atsupport@ontu.in. [Name and postal address to be inserted before launch.] We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within the timelines required by law.

16.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
