Refund policy
1.Overview
We want you to be happy with Ontu. You can start on the free plan and, where a plan offers a free trial, try paid features before you are charged. This policy explains cancellations and when we refund payments.
2.Cancelling a subscription
- You can cancel any time from your billing settings.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Your paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
- After that your account moves to the free plan and its limits apply.
3.When we refund
- First purchase: if you request a refund within 7 days of your first payment for a plan, we'll refund it in full.
- Duplicate or mistaken charges: we refund charges made in error, such as being billed twice.
- Service failure: if a significant outage or defect on our side prevented you from using paid features, we may refund or credit the affected period.
- Where required by law: including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
4.When we don't refund
- Partial periods after cancellation, beyond the cases above.
- Renewals you didn't cancel before the renewal date, unless requested within 7 days of the renewal charge and the paid features weren't used in that period.
- Accounts suspended for breaking our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.
5.How to request a refund
Email support@ontu.in from your account email with the subject “Refund”, or use the contact form and choose “Billing”. Include the payment date and amount. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
6.How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Razorpay or Stripe. Banks usually take 5–10 business days to show the refund. We can't refund to a different method or account.
