Connect a custom domain
Use your own domain, like links.yourbusiness.com, for your Ontu page.
Updated
On paid plans you can serve a page from your own domain or subdomain.
- Go to Dashboard → Domains and click Add domain. Choose the page and enter the domain, for example
links.yourbusiness.com. - At your DNS provider, add the two records Ontu shows you:
- a TXT record named
_ontu.links.yourbusiness.comwith the value shown (it starts withontu-verify=), which proves you own the domain; - a CNAME record pointing
links.yourbusiness.comto the target shown.
- a TXT record named
- Back in Ontu, click Verify. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour to appear.
Once verified, the domain serves your published page. A secure certificate is issued automatically the first time someone visits.
We recommend a subdomain (like links. or go.). Pointing a root domain needs DNS features (CNAME flattening or ALIAS records) that not every provider supports.
