Publishing, drafts and usernames
How drafts and published versions work, and how to change your username.
Updated
Drafts and published versions. The editor always works on a draft that saves automatically. Visitors only see the version you last published. When you have unpublished changes, the editor shows Unpublished changes and the button reads Update published page.
Unpublishing. Unpublishing takes your page offline immediately. Your draft and settings are kept, so you can publish again later.
Changing your username. Go to the editor's Settings tab. If the new name is available it's yours as soon as you save, and the old address stops working, so update anywhere you've shared it.
Reserved names. Some names are reserved because Ontu uses them for its own pages (for example pricing, help or dashboard), or because they could mislead visitors (such as names starting with ontu).
If you edit in two tabs. If the page was saved somewhere else since you opened it, Ontu stops autosaving and asks whether to load the latest version or keep yours. Nothing is overwritten without your say-so.
